Taneesha Kotecha powers Kolkata Thunder Blades’ narrow win over Pune Jaguars in UTT

Kotecha, ranked world No. 144, punched well above her weight in a spirited performance against the 77th-ranked Chitale in the final and decisive match, with the teams tied at 6-6.
Kotecha showed better control while an aggressive approach worked out well for the 19-year-old, who won the first two games to give Kolkata an unassailable 8-6 lead. Chitale bounced back to win the final game, but Kotecha won the match 11-7, 11-2, 9-11.
